His Feet & My Feet

Last night our little guy was standing at the piano bench.  He turned toward the couch and let go and ... took a little step!  I gasped, loudly, and said to Hot Cup, "He's walking!" and ... of course he sat down.  I'm sure he would have sat down after that little step anyway, but maybe I shouldn't do that next time, haha.

Speaking of yesterday ...

Yesterday morning I was sitting on the couch while he was playing with a car on the couch.  He was taking the car around the ottoman when he ran into my cold feet.  If I'd been watching him closer instead of reading then maybe I would have moved my feet for him, but I hadn't.  Anyway, when he felt my cold feet he laughed.  And then he stopped and spent the next few minutes putting his neck and face to my cold feet and laughing.

Today I was sitting there again and he must have remembered because he came up and had fun with my feet again, haha.

Weekend Recap

On Saturday, Hot Cup and I went to his co-workers VT themed wedding reception. It was a really nice event and we had fun.


While we were away, our baby was cared for by his Grandma and his youngest/tallest Aunt.  He didn't even miss me.  I mean us.  Me.  Anyway, I suppose I'm glad he was happy.


Sunday morning we went to the park and took some pictures.

Memorial Day was pretty low key.  We relaxed at home and Hot Cup made a delicious dinner.  He put up the canopy so we could join him on the deck without sitting under a blazing sun; it was a hot day!  We turned on the sprinkler and, although our baby preferred the water not get him in the face too much, I think he liked it and was happy to get cooled off.



Hot Cup smoked a brisket and potato wedges and grilled chocolate stuffed bananas.  Super yum, thanks babe <3

The First Twelve Months

You knew this was coming.

Our little guy likes to bounce. He got a Jumperoo for Christmas and I think that's where it started. This weekend we were at my parents' house and my dad discovered there is a command word to get him to do it :D
(Turn down the volume a tad as I think my voice is a bit loud here.)

(Whenever I play this back and he hears the audio, whether on the camera or the computer, he starts dancing, lol.)

He also received this stuffed lion for Christmas. He's so cute when he hugs his stuffed animals.

This is the later, successful attempt.  Hot Cup is getting ready for Scouts so that's what distracts him for a second.


He figured out the lip smacking and indian thing all by himself.
