All of Us

We are in serious need of a family photo. So for now we decided we'd better do a quick one ourselves. I'm not sure how successful it was. I mean, we're all in the picture together, so is that success?

I love our oldest in these 4, but baby wasn't cooperating yet.



These last three are okay.

12 Months!!

Thank goodness this is the last one. There's nothing you can do to make me excited about this.

He's a very active little guy! He takes a couple steps without holding onto anything. He loves to climb the stairs.  He loves bathtime and doesn't consider it a reason to sit still.

He's super happy all the time.  Unless of course one of his brothers is unfair, he won't be taken advantage of, but is still quick to forgive.

He loves food and sometimes I give him water from a non-suctioned sippy cup.  He loves to drink it and also to lean back and pour it on his face.

He loves to explore, play, interact, laugh, and entertain.  He's very sweet and loving.  He's started waving goodbye.

General Conference



Playing together conference weekend.

He stepped onto the stool to reach something on the couch and then stepped back down. No big deal.
I don't really keep our baby walking toy out because big brothers go crazy with it, but he loved this little cart at a friends!


They hung out by the door a lot of the day the sidewalk was getting replaced.

We even had lunchtime there.

I'm sad and my preschooler gives me a hug so I'll feel better. When I'm not better after he says I should go to the doctor. I ask why and he says "to get better. That's a hypothesis. My hypothesis is the doctor will make you better." (note: I was a bit stressed, it's not a chronic problem, I just thought his doctor solution for a non-physical problem was cool.)

Preschooler Sunday morning: I don't like Sundays. I like wind better.

Preschooler with a stick: I'm starting kill you, I'm killing you, I killed you.
Me: Where did you learn that?
Kindergartner: The scriptures, I think.
Might be true for Kindergartner but I'd guess Preschooler got it from friends, but I don't know.

Our Kindergartner announced that his favorite color was blue, which seemed weird since it's always been red.  I think we're mostly back to red now.

He loves writing.


Reflections entry & school picture!

Hop on Pop

Our baby would stand up and then flop peacefully onto his resting daddy. For a while big brother was lying next to him using a bean bag as a pillow. By the time I'd switched to video big brother had joined in and was squeezing out poor baby brother, who as you'll see wasn't too happy about the intrusion.


Even though you don't get to see when baby brother was doing it himself, I love everything about this video :)

Halloween

Our oldest asked to be a dolphin.
Our second asked to be a pumpkin.
Both those requests were unprompted and without hesitation.
And they each loved their costume :)
Our third was a jack-o-lantern (our oldest's first halloween costume).

I asked if he wanted his costume off to play in the sand and again to decorate cookies, but he said no.


I love this pic, which is why (as you'll notice below) I didn't really try for a good one of just him on the 31st.
