Bath Time, etc.

I've wanted to get more pictures of bath time since he started sitting up in the bath, but kept forgetting. A couple weeks ago Hot Cup remembered and now I'm finally sharing :)

Mom, are you going to help?

Okay whatever, dad has toys.

But seriously mom, it's bathtime.

Hello friend, we're so clean!

Oh yes, my hair is getting long.

As is the rest of me.

Hmmm yayaya dadadadada aaaaaeee mmmm...

(If he can play with whatever he wants, he's happy.)

Done brushing teeth :D (Here "brushing teeth" mostly means: biting mom's finger.)

Daddy, the guy in the mirror is just like you.

Daddy you just read, I'll get the pages.

Tongue

Here's a video of him sticking out his tongue.

Those are take one and take two. I wanted to get a video of him doing it where it didn't seem like I was torturing him. (He wanted the camera, in case you couldn't tell.) But by take three he was done showing me his tongue. But I have to share that take too because he's chatting instead and it's really cute :)

11 Months!

Our little boy is 11 months already!

He loves pushing things around the living/dining areas. Balls or anything with wheels. He takes them under the table and around furniture legs. He lays his head on the floor so he can see wheels better. The train wheels move themselves and he loves to feel them turn with his fingers.

Here he is playing with his soccer ball. About 30 seconds in watch how he crawls with his feet off the floor.

He loves windows, outside, cars, music, books, mirrors, eating, watching, banging on things, getting into things, talking in all volumes, standing, and climbing on mom and dad. He gives us hugs and sometimes grabs both of my shoulders with his hands to pull into a hug <3

(For the record, his 1st time pulling himself up to furniture was March 5th. Hot Cup was home and very happy to witness it.)

He loves to put little things under the couch and then take them back out.

He knows what his tongue is and will usually stick it out upon request. And whenever else he feels like it. He likes to feel his tongue and teeth with his finger. He likes to bite food with his teeth. He has 7 teeth now. Tooth 6 and tooth 7 came at the same time.

He's so much fun and we love him!

Our Anniversary

We had a wonderful evening yesterday!

And it began with food.

Hot Cup made us drinks and Braciole for dinner. I contributed by making the sides.

For dessert he'd made delicious fillings in chocolate shells. He did everything from scratch - from chopping the chocolate to juicing the oranges. There was white chocolate mousse with raspberry and raspberry gel. Bittersweet chocolate mousse with blood orange gel. Chocolate mousse flavored with pomegranate syrup. And bittersweet chocolate mousse over caramel.

Oh yumminess.

The rest of the evening was great as well. But it's not over! My mom is coming over tomorrow to stay with our little boy so we can go on a date. Thanks mom!

I didn't mention Valentines Day this year, but while I'm talking about how great my husband is I'll mention he was really good to me then too. I was really sick that day so when he came home he had to get dinner and do dishes and once our boy was in bed he massaged my soreness and then I went to sleep. Not exactly what we'd planned but I was glad to be so well taken care of!

Love you husband!

TV

Our little guy doesn't watch a lot of TV, but he watches some. And of course his mama thinks he's the cutest little TV watcher ever.

He loves the two Baby Einstein videos we have - First Signs and World of Rhythm. We usually end up watching them when I'm trying to cut his nails. Which doesn't make much sense because they're supposed to be interactive. Oy.

In the morning when both Hot Cup and I are trying to get ready for the day, we turn the TV onto Nick Jr. He's interested in some shows more than others, but for most he chooses to ignore the TV and play with toys (unless he's buckled into a chair, which he usually needs to be for a few minutes at the beginning). He plays with toys until he hears the credits roll at about 7 til the hour & half hour (he knows the sound of credits :) Then he goes to the TV and watches for 7 minutes. Until the next show starts and he returns to his toys. It's really cute how he loves what they have in those 7 minutes.

I've been meaning to post about that for a while so I didn't plan on mentioning this but- in the last couple of days those 7 minutes have changed. Moose is gone. He loved Moose. He also loved their little animation and music for "count with us, explore with us, read with us, make music with us ...". I suspect that's gone too because their rating system at the beginning of shows seems to have changed. Now the 7 minutes are just promoting Nick Jr stuff. At least they still do a music video but it's sad that his favorites are gone. And since the schedule changed too and I didn't care for what show was on this morning either, at one point I switched to the Sesame Street songs/videos that we've downloaded. I guess I'll probably get used to it though. I think he's going to miss Moose.
