He's 3 Months!

My baby has been with me three months and he is growing so fast! He still smiles all the time and loves to look around and interact.

He loves to talk, kick, and stretch. He loves to look at, feel, taste, hear, and hold his toys. He likes to stick his thumb, or sometimes his index finger, into his mouth. He chews and plays with it more than sucks on it, but he'll suck too. He sucks on his pacifier and has gotten so he uses it more often. When I hold him he wraps a little arm tightly around me. Sometimes when I'm doing something nearby I hear that he's gone silent - I don't hear talking, kicking, sucking, toys, or anything - I look over to find that he's looking at me just waiting for me to look at him. And as soon as we make eye contact he gives me a big smile.

Sometimes I make funny noises to make him smile but occasionally I'll find a noise that has the opposite effect. If he's scared he'll stick out his bottom lip and make a sad face. There's usually enough time for me to comfort him before he starts crying. He's had that reaction to other babies crying, the vacuum, a lawnmower, daddy's elephant noise, and other things. He's not usually scared of the same noise more than a couple times.

He likes his bouncy seat and going for walks in his stroller. And of course to be held. He still loves diaper changes and baths and thinks it's fun to kick during both.

He is so much fun to play with! He likes it when I play with his feet and kiss them. He likes spending time with his dad. I've tried recording them playing together but he gets distracted by the camera. I'll have to try again.

He is suspicious of the camera. If I bring it out he'll stop what he's doing (that I'm trying to take a picture of) and look at it. After I recorded the video in Talkative I played it on the camera for him to watch and he was very enthralled, so cute! Even in recording that video it took me a minute to get his attention away from the camera and back to talking to me.

I love my little boy!
