Our little guy doesn't watch a lot of TV, but he watches some. And of course his mama thinks he's the cutest little TV watcher ever.
He loves the two Baby Einstein videos we have - First Signs and World of Rhythm. We usually end up watching them when I'm trying to cut his nails. Which doesn't make much sense because they're supposed to be interactive. Oy.
In the morning when both Hot Cup and I are trying to get ready for the day, we turn the TV onto Nick Jr. He's interested in some shows more than others, but for most he chooses to ignore the TV and play with toys (unless he's buckled into a chair, which he usually needs to be for a few minutes at the beginning). He plays with toys until he hears the credits roll at about 7 til the hour & half hour (he knows the sound of credits :) Then he goes to the TV and watches for 7 minutes. Until the next show starts and he returns to his toys. It's really cute how he loves what they have in those 7 minutes.
I've been meaning to post about that for a while so I didn't plan on mentioning this but- in the last couple of days those 7 minutes have changed. Moose is gone. He loved Moose. He also loved their little animation and music for "count with us, explore with us, read with us, make music with us ...". I suspect that's gone too because their rating system at the beginning of shows seems to have changed. Now the 7 minutes are just promoting Nick Jr stuff. At least they still do a music video but it's sad that his favorites are gone. And since the schedule changed too and I didn't care for what show was on this morning either, at one point I switched to the Sesame Street songs/videos that we've downloaded. I guess I'll probably get used to it though. I think he's going to miss Moose.
On Saturday June 27th we decided to drive out to Bishop Castle. This is
one of those "mini" Colorado tourist stops that I have heard about for
years but h...
