33.3 inches
He learned to walk this month! He's gotten really good at it. He still ends up crawling, especially when he's trying to go really fast, but he's getting pretty fast on his feet too :)
He loves to smile and laugh and entertain.
When he has his mind on something he can be quite insistent.
He's been big on peek-a-boo for a while but this month he went from only using a blanket, to using any object from a couch to a toy to a book to a pencil, to using his hands. He also covers his eyes when he feels bad or sad or really wants to hide and sometimes it's hard to know whether I'm supposed to be playing peek-a-boo or not.
He loves to eat. He loves sandwiches, burritos, pizza and pretty much anything with some sort of bread. He loves olives and cheese. He gets really upset when something he likes is gone. Like yogurt or applesauce. Pretty much every morning now he throws a fit when the yogurt gets all gone. If I say 'last bite' then he's upset before even eating the last bite.
Have I mentioned before that he loves lids? He loves them. All kinds. They are fun toys.
A few weeks ago I posted about how he'd had a rough couple of days and that we suspected it was teething. Well it was! He already had molars on the top but now he's also got a couple on the bottom!
His little toy train that he got for Christmas and has always loved has a car for animals that it's supposed to pull. In the past he has removed it and only played with them separately (mostly the engine). But now he likes them attached and whenever they separate he fusses so that we'll come fix it. He tries to fix it himself too which can frustrate him more but I'm sure he'll get it soon.
He loves trying to get things in their spots like that. He still needs a little help but he enjoys puzzles. He plays with tupperwares and their lids. And he likes me to lift him so he can take the bar from the sliding glass door in and out of it's locked position. You get the idea.
He likes to take the clothes that I've just folded and throw them all onto the floor. But the other day he came to do it and I put my hand on the stack of clothes so that he couldn't. Apparently he thought I was patting the pile of clothes and so he started to pat the pile too. Now when I fold clothes he comes and pats the piles. Cute!
Here are a few pictures.
He got quite attached to this truck while we were at a neighbor's and didn't like having to leave it behind.
He wouldn't part with this ambulance the first day we gave it to him. He loves it!

What a fun age! And look how big he is! Finn is only 35 inches (if I remember right). Before you know it he'll be bigger than both of my boys. :) Kai already has a 2 year-old cousin that's bigger than him, and it looks like he'll soon have another.
Oh! So fun!! He and Jarhead would be such great friends- they are so much alike! how is he at church? by his age- i was counting the weeks until nursery! haha.. and 21 lbs! I think Jarhead is at that now.. maybe even a little under! and i think he's maybe 30 inches! haha.. he'd look like a shrimp next to your little man!
He's pretty good at Church. I'm sure he'll love nursery and have much more fun then, but I'm going to miss him! We'll be in your town soon so hopefully we'll get to see you, I'll email you or something.
I wish we could see you and your boys soon too, Angie!
