January

This January was not my favorite. We had a stomach bug that wouldn't go away. Our kindergartner missed about 11 days of school after winter break :(

Baby + Food.
He does this with mandarins a lot. It's this or throw them like balls.
He gobbles up taquitos!

If I leave something close enough to the edge of the table, like these eggs, he's gonna get it.
He took the cheerios out by the handful and put them back one at a time. Of course stopping to eat them by the fistful every now and then.

Someone loves my pasta + white sauce.
Big brothers never seem to learn to keep their water out of reach.
In case it's not clear, he's a really good eater :)

Baby loves playing here!

Ornament & the baby that made it.
One time we let him in his brothers' bath after biggest brother got out. He loved it.

One time our baby heard his daddy sing a counting song that's on his toy remote, and he ran to retrieve it from it's bin and played the song. We were impressed.

He knows he gets a chocolate chip after big brother goes potty and runs to the kitchen before we're even there.

He loves duplos, especially making a tower of 2x2s to carry around.

He got 3 molars this month.

He's said a couple words.  His first word was either dance or more.  One time he was in the bath and stood up and said dance ("dc") and danced.  He mostly says more ("moh") in requesting food, but I think his meaning is "I want that," it's usually accompanied by sign language.

He's really good at letting us know what he wants even if the doesn't have the words.

Lately our preschooler has chosen to join us for scriptures & FHE.

The first day big brother finally went back to school - preschooler went straight for his new toys.

Practicing letters with 2 uppercase/lowercase matching games.

While I'm making lunch preschooler comes in for an animal guessing game. He acts out probably 10 animals; these were the first two:
I have four legs, a long neck, and am eating, chomp, chomp, chomp. What am I?
I have a tail, live in the trees, and eat bananas. What am I?
It was super adorable.

Not a great angle but big brother is reading to baby.

I went to grab my phone for a picture of baby on the stool, and I think Kindergartner was nervous that I would step away from baby, so he made sure he was safe.

We've not really cared to get our biggest kid to wear underpants to bed, but this month he said he wanted to and he was right - he's ready :)

Our Kindergartner's class had Mystery Readers in January so I signed up. They had the kids sit on the floor in front of a rocking chair and close their eyes. I sat in the chair and they asked me questions to guess who I was. Our Kindergartner was so surprised and excited and really sweet. He got to sit next to me while I read the book (I chose Lion Lessons). When he got off the bus he was equally excited and loving, and really it went on for a couple days. He would give me hugs and kisses and say how great it was that I went to his class. I wish they'd let me volunteer in class sometimes.

The boys gave their dad his very own Playdoh for Christmas. His robot is giving the boys ugga muggas. And that Playdoh toy Cutter was a gift for Kindergartner from Santa.

We added a snowman to our bath foam collection. Too bad we haven't had any snow to make a snowman.

Reading a nursery rhyme book my aunt gave me for Christmas when I was 1.

My sister-in-law's baby shower! So excited for them!!

Krispy Kreme
At first the lady only gave the 2 big boys balloons. But baby let her know that he needed one too.
