September

The site I've used to share videos no longer has a free option. So I'm just going to not share videos for now.

Our oldest loved starting first grade. Here's a note he wrote to his teacher a few days into the school year.

His poster for when he would be "star of the week" and a monkey he randomly made for the window.

- Storytime at the library.
- The 2nd half of September it was my turn to teach pre-k and I was impressed to see how well our 2nd was doing with writing. We'd worked on writing a little over the summer, but I think the pre-k setting helped.

One of my pre-k topics was "autumn" and we read the book Leaf Man and made our own leaf men. The pic on the left I made as a demonstration, the middle was done by our 2nd during pre-k, and the last was done later by our oldest because it looked too fun. (I didn't take the pic of his for a month and a half, so the colors are faded.) Our oldest knew I was collecting leaves and seeds for this and brought home 2 attached acorns he found during recess. It was so thoughtful of him! ♥

Our 2nd continues to love building toys!

Our youngest cutie. When I hold him he wraps one arm around my neck to play with my hair :)

I love these pictures of my peaceful family doing things together in our home and neighborhood ♥ ♥

- After completing this page in his piano workbook, our oldest added a little note to his teacher. I thought it would be fun to upload to instagram; so I did and we got a personalized reply from Mr. Hoffman. When I read Mr. Hoffman's reply to our oldest he was super surprised and said "wait, are you serious? Mr Hoffman is a real person?" It was an exciting realization.
- Mr. Hoffman also replied to a video I posted of him playing the piano with his eyes closed while our littlest pounded the keys up top.
- The last picture is of him sight reading the last song in Unit 1, well before he was to that point in the lessons. I was impressed.

Younger brothers at the piano.
