We had a schedule to somewhat structure our summer days. It helped us get things done and helped us not go crazy. I had a hard time getting us back to doing all of it after our trip to the beach, but otherwise we were pretty good about it.
It basically included:
Yoga
Piano
Reading
Outside time (could be errands or other outings, but usually it just meant playing outside)
Activity (experiment, art, cooking, game, etc.)
Job
Storytime
Quiet time
Ride bikes
and free time, naturally.

Someone requested beans and I said sure, that'll be our activity today. Toddler had gotten his clothes wet during outside time.
Chocolate dipped rice krispie treats.
Cleaning pennies.
Picking raspberries
Plastic milk.
I enjoy when the oldest decides to take charge of activity time. McDonalds signs.
Making cards. Fish went to cousins, elephant went to an aunt.
Caterpillars.
Homemade applesauce. Spur-of-the-moment suggestion from the oldest.
Watercolors over white crayon.
Butterflies!
Blackberries (toddler signing "more") / Peaches / Grapes
I sure loved having our oldest home with us!
