Our boy's favorite words are 'no' and 'uh-oh'. Hot Cup said that maybe one of the reasons he likes watching Curious George so much is cause he often gets to say 'uh-oh', haha. It's fun to see his reactions to TV shows and see how he really understands.
In an episode or two of Daniel Tiger, they use their hands as binoculars. So our boy will do the same and tell us what he sees.
There is another episode of Daniel where they play in cardboard boxes that have been made into cars. So Hot Cup made one for our son but the only time he hasn't run away from it was while that episode was on. We think that in time he'll love it.
He loves his daddy. Hot Cup has always been more fun than me but I've been slowing down a bit and that doesn't help. Here are a few pictures of them playing together.
He loves to have us count. It doesn't matter if there are 2 of something or 20, he'll point to whatever they are one at a time and insist we count.
He loves songs that have motions. The Wise Man, Head Shoulders Knees and Toes, One Fine Face, Wheels on the Bus, etc. Alphabet songs are also favorites.
He groups parts of the alphabet together. Like A-G, H-P, Q-V, and W-Z. It's cause of the rows we make when we line his magnets up on the fridge for him.
He's recently become resistant to having us brush his teeth. We're pretty sure it's cause he's actually starting to get good at brushing them himself. I'm not sure how much longer simply holding out until he agrees to let us brush is going to work.
When we were in Utah he got a couple fun puzzles as belated birthday gifts from his Aunt Clar & Uncle A. The piano puzzle is pretty neat, the letters on the keys match the letters underneath so of course he's a natural. As you put each piece in it plays the note. Hot Cup showed him how he could take all the pieces out and drive a car across the sensors to play a scale. He's figured out how the jigsaw puzzle pieces can fit together, he just hasn't discovered making the picture fit together yet.
