I told our toddler we'd be going to the zoo the next day to see the animals and he said "and Noah!" Later I asked what animal he wanted to see the most and he said the boy lion. I separately asked our preschooler and he said the lions and giraffes. Well, we discovered the National Zoo doesn't have giraffes anymore, and the dad lion wasn't out. I'm sure some of the cubs were boys, but no manes yet. So that was funny.
On Friday ...
we went to the National Zoo! The boys loved seeing all the animals. A lot of our family came too so that was fun :)
Their uncle helped their dad show them all the animals. They're each holding one in this shot.
Here's a bunch of pictures of people's backs. I did not get awesome pictures. You can see Hot Cup's mom, brother, and sister-in-law. They were with us the whole time and it was loads of fun to have them with us as we explored. You can also see my sister, who came for a lot of the day even though her wrist needs rest. My brother and his wife aren't pictured but they came briefly too. I love spending time with our families, and the kids do too :)
Our preschooler is hiding the hat the bird just tried to take off his head.
I wasn't sure about having them use the stroller but so glad we brought it for them! It was nice for getting around and they hopped out to see the animals.
This guy had fun too!
