Little Brother

The boys are getting a little brother in November!  Here's some pics from the June 25th ultrasound.


Our preschooler had guessed girl and it took him a few hours to accept that it was a boy.  But he continues to be sweet to the baby (and to me!  It's nice that he understands and doesn't get upset when I tell him I can't do something because of my belly ... that'll be even more useful in a couple months I'm sure!)

We haven't said much of it to our younger boy but he's catching on anyway.  He likes to point to my belly/belly button and say/sign baby.  And the other day he pointed to a doorknob and said shhh baby, then he closed the door and said shhh baby again.  I'm not really sure where that one came from but it was cute.

I love my little boys and am super excited to be getting another!

25 Weeks

"This is how I feel about getting a little brother!!"

Just kidding. What he's really saying:
"This is how I feel about giving up my pacifier for the picture!!"

My belly is a nice arm rest for him when we're sitting on the couch together.

20 Weeks!

We're very excited about getting another little boy!

Here's a picture of me from Monday -- at 20 weeks.  I tried to get big brother to be in the picture with me so it would be cuter, but he didn't consent.  Sorry about my lack of expression.

I was finally sure I felt him kicking by 17 weeks. (Though there were times before that when I thought I did.) And have felt him every day since. But I don't think I realized quite how active he was until during the ultrasound when I saw him turn and flip and kick and move his arms and hands. So fun!
