Off The Wagon

I love shopping, yay for new clothes!

My family got our picture taken yesterday. Jeff will be leaving for two years in a couple of weeks and we needed to get one before he goes. I was supposed to wear a fall color and I realized I didn't have a cute shirt to wear. Well, not really, sort of. Anyway, Saturday I went to the mall in search of a shirt. I didn't find the perfect shirt for the occasion, but I found clothes that I'm sure will be perfect for other occasions :) Next time: shoes.

The best [and least expensive] way to dress up is to put on a smile. Haha.

The Office

One of my co-workers is in this phase where he apologizes to me when he cusses. He says that our office is a no cussing zone. Sometimes I don't even realize he cussed; maybe it's in Australian, we have a language barrier problem sometimes.

I have no idea why he decided on no cussing [I prefer none, but he doesn't know], which makes it all really funny to me.

And while I'm on the subject of work, a little piece of advice: never have beef jerky for breakfast. Even if you haven't eaten all morning and there is some on your desk when you get in; save it for later!

The Residence

As I was wondering what I should say about our move to Pennsylvania Avenue,

my sister was crafting a eloquent post of her own, as she so often does. As you can see, she is a writer, and I am not.

I'll not be repetitive, but I'd like to say that our new home comes with the biggest and most beautiful yard of any of the places I've lived. This is my favorite spot to sit and enjoy this lovely fall weather.

One doesn't get such prime real estate without having some connections. Let's just say we owe the representative from Arizona.

Ad Habit

I don't know if it is only because I studied marketing, but at least some of my ad-critiquing habits came from my college days. I'll usually critique them and am just as likely to hate them as I am to love them.

It was probably 5 years ago that Tabasco ran this campaign, but it is one of my favorites.

Too Much TV?

FALL 2007 TV REVIEW

Supernatural, Smallville, Numb3rs, NCIS, The Unit
Excellent, as always.

Criminal Minds
I miss Gideon. I can't believe they got rid of him! Luckily this show is filled with great characters.

Chuck, Journeyman, & maybe Life is Wild
New shows I've decided to check out.

Pushing Daisies, Big Shots, Cane
New shows that provide new jobs to West Wing actors (joining CSI:Miami, One Tree Hill, Desparate Housewives, Psych, Weeds, Studio 60, Brothers & Sisters). I doubt I'll watch any. I always meant to check out Psych; someday I will.

Sitcoms
I love um, but I don't really follow any of the current ones.

Go # 12!

MLA doesn't close for Columbus, so I took a vacation day yesterday.

I took a vacation day because this is my sister's 2nd year on the field hockey team and shamefully I'd never before been to a game! So yesterday I got to see her play. She was amazing!

My New Toy

Isn't she lovely?
She's a Conn that was built in 1993.
Unfortunately (for my roommates who are forced to listen) I cannot boast great skill, but I certainly enjoy having her around.
