8 Months!

This round of monthly pictures sort of felt hopeless, ha. The kids wanted to be right in the middle of it and I felt totally mean not allowing them to be practically on top of him. And the littlest one wouldn't stay put. It was like 3 against 1, even though the older 2 were really trying to help. Oy. But, I'm glad they love him and want to help. Our littlest guy really loves his brothers and is excited to see them and play with them. I can't imagine what it would be like for him without their love and attention.





He's army crawling everywhere and will play with anything he can get his hands on. Sometimes when I'm carrying him he'll just keep his hands outstretched to see if he can manage to reach something. His favorite toys are noisy ones (instruments, baby electronics, rattles) and moving ones (with wheels or gears).  He also enjoys Baby Einstein videos & the Jumperoo.

He stays sitting up pretty well.

We're finally down to 2 naps.

He likes to buzz his lips - our middle boy says it's a helicopter sound.

He loves being in the highchair for meals and eating foods.  He's moved beyond just tasting to getting quite a bit down.

He loves being where I am. (And with his dad too of course.)

When I put him to nap/bed I soothe him for a bit before I put him in his crib, and sometimes he lets out a little cry as I leave him but he's done by the time I shut the door. I know it's just a tired cry but sometimes I imagine it's for my benefit, like he's saying, here's a little cry so you think I need you and miss you. I love when he really insists I stay with him a bit longer.  Sometimes I just put my hand through the bars onto the mattress and he holds my hand and lies his head down on it ♥  (In times like that, I love it, but I could be replaced by a security animal, I guess I should consider it ;)
