Celebrating Daddy

The Saturday before his Friday birthday we went to my parents' for a birthday party for my handsome husband.

Here's the boys, having fun racing cars.

Here's our oldest telling him about the pictures on his card. He drew pictures that represented our beach trip.

Here's baby having fun with the birthday boy.

Birthday Cake! Third consecutive year requesting Gingerly.

He didn't know it but we were celebrating his birthday all the next week by making surprise decorations! I was very impressed that our 5 year old kept the surprise :)

It was fun how much of this our oldest did. Totally independently, he cut out and colored the orange letters, strung half the letters, glued the circles to the string and made the cuts in the streamers. With a little help he punched holes in all the letters and glued the 4 streamers together.

Our toddler was a big help too. He strung half the letters and he glued circles. He was super excited about gluing the circles.  He'd glue and I'd put them on the string.  He climbed on my lap and started gluing before I could see what was happening, and he did amazing. He was so excited that he didn't ever sit still on my lap and the constant movement kinda stressed me out but it was fun.
