We are having family come to celebrate with us on Sunday, but we wanted to celebrate on his actual birthday too so we had a fun day that ended with a present and ice cream. He loved the puzzles! And thinks puzzle rack + puzzles = an excellent car garage.
The night before we decorated a little, but weren't quite finished. Hot Cup blew up balloons and tied them into bundles of three but we weren't ready to hang them so he stacked them into a column. When Hot Cup brought our birthday boy downstairs in the morning he dropped the toys he was carrying and ran to knock down the column. Then he picked up one of the bundles and said 'oooo'. I was upstairs so I missed it :( He likes all the decorations so that's fun. We'll leave them up through Sunday's party so he gets to enjoy them all week.
