August

Our baby loved the zucchini tots & butternut squash!

Some of his first times standing!

He loves getting into the instruments.
And he loves his little tunnel. And he loves the Duplo people (that's what he's putting in his mouth here).

Super relaxed, just waiting for the doc at his 9 month well visit.

I was thinking I got a video of this. But it must have been that I'd wished I'd done video. Love, love, love his laughs!

I was sitting on the floor trying to convince our preschooler to come to me so we could get his shoes off. He puts his hat over his eyes and laughs that "I can't see where I'm going". So this bump happened.
His big brother would have toast practically every day for lunch. He likes PB&J but wanted to be like his brother. PB&J toast is messy!

He made a crown but was too silly to allow me to take a picture of it on him right side up.

Our preschooler is loving as always. But I guess he might have mixed feelings about being a big brother.
For example, one time I asked him to stop kicking his baby brother in the face - and he said he wanted him to cry again (they weren't hard kicks, thankfully). And one morning he said "we're going to get another baby and give somebody else that one."

In August we prepared for school to start.  We went to Kindergarten playgroups, we bought supplies, and tried out foods for lunches.  Our Kindergartner had been having toast for lunch pretty much every day so I had to explain that toast doesn't really travel/keep.  Getting lunch ideas ready made me realize that that's really the only part of his long school day that I can do anything about.

Kindergarten Open House!

Baby looking at, and kindergartner telling me about, something he brought home.

I don't know how much this was prompted, but those are definitely 3 of his favorite things about school.

When he was done he said "thank you for letting me have a turn" and has since asked that he have get a turn next time I vacuum when he's not at school. He actually did really well and was very thorough :)

With their dad.
With their grandma.

My brother's birthday.  (He's going to be a dad!!!!!)
Our biggest boy loves when baby will sit with him!

Art.

We had a Ward Luau with entertainment by some members of the ward who do this for their business. My kids didn't go up with the kids, but enjoyed watching!

My cousin and his family moved to my hometown. We went to their place to visit and celebrate his birthday and his wife had prepared a delicious Korean meal.
